We spent a few days in San Diego, CA honoring a few Warriors. Tony is an Army Veteran that deployed to Iraq, and now continues to serve as a Police Officer. Dillon is also an Army Veteran and served in both the Reserves and Guard deploying to Iraq. Mike is a Vietnam era Army Veteran. They are incredible Warriors with amazing stories of sacrifice and service. We are grateful for the opportunity to honor them.
We connected with Coletta Sport Fishing Charter out of San Diego. The Captain and the Mate took us out for an epic day of deep sea fishing. They were fish whisperers and had us catching tons of fish when none of the other boat around were. So glad we had the best crew on the ocean! Catching incredible fish was the icing on the cake to our enrichment. The stories shared and networks we created are invaluable. We cherish those experiences and memories catching fish, but also the stories we were able to share together as Warriors. Warriors helping Warriors is our legacy.
We also set everyone up at the Bahia Resort along the ocean. Tony was able to bring his family out, so we hooked them up with San Diego fun passes. Tony is a work horse and definitely needed this downtime with his amazing family. So glad to have met his family. Dillon was also able to get some much needed relaxation with the other Warriors and hang out sightseeing in San Diego. Mike is a local and was able to bring his family out for a Warrior dinner, and it was a pleasure to meet them. It is an incredible experience to have strangers all relate and bond over the commonality of service to our Country.
Shout out to Raleigh, Army Vet and our Warrior Ambassador, he is serving as a life long resource for support and network to our Warriors. We appreciate our Warrior and are so thankful for their service to our Country. We are looking forward to our next enrichment!
