Mike Donnelly

Mike Donnelly, Chief Operating Officer of Sportsmen for Warriors, is Veteran of the United States Army, Florida Army National Guard, and South Florida Police agencies.  Serving as a “DUAL Warrior,” Mike has nearly two decades of combined Military and Law Enforcement experience.  Mike is married to Denise, mother to their two children.


In the Army, Mike served as an Enlisted Infantryman serving in various Light and Airborne Infantry Units, and earned the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7) in seven years. In 2010 Mike was selected to serve as an Operational Advisor for the Asymmetric Warfare Group. During the course of his Military service, Mike completed nearly six years of Foreign Service in support of the Global War on Terror.
While attending the Broward Police Academy, Mike was top in his class and won the top awards in Academics, Physical Fitness, Leadership, and Firearms (runner up).  Mike quickly earned a reputation in the Law Enforcement community and received high praise for his performance in scene de-escalation, control, and adaptability. 


Mike holds an A.A. in General Studies and is near completion of a B.S. in Public Administration. He received three Army Bronze Star medals (one with “Valor” device), two Meritorious Service Medals, The Purple Heart, six Army Commendation medals, and four Army achievement medals among many others awards, decorations, and badges during his service.  Mike was inducted to the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club in 2007 and awarded the Order of St. Maurice in 2011.  He continues to serve part time in National Guard.
